We require two business days’ notice to change or cancel your appointment. Appointments cancelled with less than two business days’ notice — or missed without notice — are subject to a late cancellation fee of $80 for new patient consultations and $50 for follow-up appointments.
When appointments are cancelled on short notice or missed, it limits our ability to offer that time to another child waiting to be seen.
Changes and cancellations must be made by calling the clinic during business hours. If our staff are unable to answer, you may leave a voicemail stating the patient’s name and appointment date and time.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
If your child is unwell on the day of their in-person appointment, please call the clinic by 9:00 a.m. on the day of the appointment and leave a voicemail informing us of the illness. The appointment will be converted to a virtual visit, and our staff will call you to confirm the change.
If you do not attend the virtual appointment, the late cancellation/no-show fee will apply.
Appointments that were originally booked as virtual visits will remain as scheduled.
Prescription refill requests must be submitted directly by your pharmacy. Pharmacies may fax refill requests to 519-515-0335.
We recommend contacting your pharmacy when your child has 7–10 days of medication remaining to allow sufficient time for the request to be processed and to ensure uninterrupted continuation of their medication.
If our pediatrician has provided a prescription for a medication trial, it is your responsibility to contact the clinic with an update before the trial is complete. Please call when your child has 7 days remaining on a 14-day trial or 4 days remaining on a 7-day trial to let us know how the medication is working and which dosage you would like to continue.
Bluebird Pediatrics is located in downtown Guelph, inside the Norfolk Medical Building (85 Norfolk St, Unit 203).
Please note that there is no designated parking for the clinic. Patients may use downtown street parking or nearby municipal parkades. We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to allow sufficient time to find parking and walk to the office.
Several downtown parkades are available within a 5–10 minute walk of the clinic. For locations, rates, and time limits, please visit the City of Guelph’s downtown parking webpage: https://guelph.ca/living/getting-around/drive/parking/downtown-parking/.
We do not tolerate any form of aggressive, abusive, or disruptive behavior. This includes verbal or physical threats, harassment, or any inappropriate language. Any misconduct will result in your appointment being cancelled.
